Quick Notes on Link Building
I have been doing SEO for quite some time already and I have managed to rank some of my sites on the first page of the search engine results page. I am not claiming that I am an expert when it comes to SEO and if you are one of the gurus out there, I will be happy if you could add some of your tips on how to do link building.
One basic off page optimization is link building. It is important to have links for the reason that major search engines gauge the value of your site thru these links. Link building is one way to make your site earn points . One link that points to your site is considered a point. It will also depend on the “quality” of the links that points to your site.
Just a quick note:
- Be sure to balance both quality and quantity links pointing to your site
- The links coming from a site that is related to your post or website is much more valuable than links that are not
- Link farms are frowned upon search engines, be sure not to be included on one of the farms
- If there are two many links on one page, it might be tagged as a link farm
- Do internal linking, this is considered as points too, but do not overdo it
- Have some related posts plugins for your blogs
- Map your links carefully
- Engage yourself and your site with link exchange or reciprocal linking
- Use proper anchor text for your link
- DO deep linking - do not just make links pointing to your homepage, but also to some of your deep pages
- Links have different values
- Balance do follow links to your no follow links
That is all I can think of right now, I will update my bullet list if ever I have the chance. If you can add some, write it below on the comment section and I will add it to the list.

but sometimes, with the very busy sked, i took this link building for granted.
I know. I get lazy and sometimes become sloppy when doing link building. one good solution for this is outsourcing. lol. nice post you have there.
